During 2018 Milan Design Week, Hermés debuted their new home collection—set in a polychromatic maze of zellige at Museo della Permanente. The invite-only opening evening featured dancers, choreographed by Willi Dorner, interacting with the installation through interpretive dance.
Conceptualized by the art directors of Hermés Maison, Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry changed the game for zellige with this installation. Cascading down seven structures, this zellige submerges you into the Hermés experience. This installation acted as a canvas for their new tableware collection—A Walk in the Garden.
What was once considered to be a traditional option, multiple hues of zellige are now the modern choice. The attention to detail in this installation is astonishing—note the red grout that encapsulates the white zellige.
Recreate the looks with our extensive collection of zellige. The realm of possibilities is virtually endless—floor to ceiling Racing Green zellige walls in your eclectic bathroom, a Sky Light zellige backsplash in your modern minimalistic kitchen or a room adorned in Pure White zellige for a textured, interest-piquing effect.
